In any kind of wreck, you never know when those fuel tanks are going to ignite. I think about it often. Hope he was knocked out before.

how is that a dream job? they never get home and live in hotels/trucks for sometimes 8 months out of the year. Lots of late night driving.
-
And carries tour was underpaying, they tried to hire a friend trucker who does that show hauling for 1.00 a ml =/
-
Ya bad deal for sure. Even if the tanks would not have ignited gardrails usually never turn out for the good.
-
It was a Stage Call truck. They pay by the week on tours not the mile. It is a good tour. I knew the guy but they still don't what happened to cause it. -
I've known guys that do that kinda work. They can fly home on long tour stops (3 days or more in the same town) plus they make enough money in one tour to not have to work the rest of the year. They sleep in nice hotels paid for by the promotions company while the stages are set up and tore down before and after the shows. Sure there's low points to it like any job, but IMO it's about as good of an OTR gig as you can get.
