I’m not sure if I understand split sleeper correctly.
So I just ran a full 11 hours and I changed my ruleset over to split sleeper setting. Does this allow me to rest for 8 hours and then I will have some time to run then I will have to take another 2 hour break? Is it this easy?

No. You used up all available driving time (11) for this shift, you are now required 10h off.
Say you only used 10 then went in sleeper. 3h later it would grant you only 1 more hour then require at least 7h sleeper. Following the 7h sleeper it would give you 10h back again.NightWind Thanks this. -
Your drive time can't be more than 11 hours total between your two breaks.

What if I take the 7/8 hour first?

If you drive for say 7 hours then take a 7 or 8 hour break it will give you back 4 (11-7) before then requiring a 3 or 2 hour sleeper again, then your first driving time of 7h falls off and the calculation is 11-4=7 available again.goga, bryan21384 and jterry1556 Thank this.

The point is, you need available drive time. If you drive the whole 11, the split sleeper is useless. You can do that as long as you have drive time. The previous post laid it out perfectly.
