All in. I honestly don't understand the difference, but the benefit of the Schneider board vs Landstar is the rate you see is what you'll get. No need to throw a bunch of math and percentages into it. What you see is what you'll get.

 

I retired. I got lucky (blessed, if you will), that a couple of years ago when the market was red hot, I got an offer for $30k on a paid off truck........and I took it. Went back to being a company driver on a dedicated account, stayed for about 16 months, hurt my back and I just gave it up.
Lots of people like to talk a lot of stuff about Schneider, most of whom have never pulled for them. But my experience (at least on the IC side) was pretty awesome. So much so that even though I don't need the money or the aggravation, I still think about coming back. Schneider won't screw you. There will be times that a load gets canceled, and it will piss you off, but it's not dishonesty, it's just business. I do not have a single bad thing to say about them and I was an IC for 8 or 9 years.

 

Just curious why would someone with a fleet want to do this?

 

I would suggest that insurance and loads would be 2 really good reasons.

 

Not to mention that they will do 99% of your bookkeeping for you. Everything is tallied on a monthly basis at no charge and they tally your IFTA as well. Turn it in to your CPA at the end of the year and it will take him about 5 minutes to do your taxes.....seriously. All he will need is your repair bills and your 'supplies' bills.
DO NOT use ATSB.......they will set you up for a 3 month or 6 month 'free' trial then they want you to buy a subscription......don't. If you review the BS they send you during your 'free' trial, you'll understand why it's BS.

#2 you’ll starve at sni bulk…. Just do vans if you want to go to Schneider

 

Bulk you have Oakley, coal city Cobb, tri-mac, ECT... Google the tank wash out yards in the north east. Take a look who is there and look into those companies.
