And he never said how long the run was .
That’s my point. Everything else is speculation.
His question was what he could do about the 1400 bucks they charged him for the repackaging. Without more details from him, that too would be speculation.

Did you take pictures before and after when they loaded and went to unload trailer? Did you have straps on load so the bags did not shift and document that with pictures?
Lots of information that need to be addressed before you can just blame TQL. I am not a fan of TQL either and have hauled a few really good paying loads from them. The childish behavior from the broker reps is what turns me off from working with them. But every once in awhile I will catch a last minute load from them that pays very good. -
I love when they call and it sounds like they're attempting to sell me some garbage in between bong hits. I swear they're like 19 year old stoners.
"Hey, dude... I like got this load...and uhhhh it pays real well going to...uh... I requires equipment you don't have but maybe you might...uh... know someone...uhh.." bubble sounds in the background....Bud A., exhausted379, Nostalgic and 2 others Thank this. -
An education isn't cheap, TQL loads always seem to have problems.... That cost the carrier money...

File on their bond for the whole amount. It is an easy process. Not sure how valid the claim for repackaging is. At the very least you should get $1,400.00
Let the bond company evaluate your claim.
Good luck -
Have you personally done this in the middle of a damage claim?
-
No I have not. Never had a damage claim. I have filed on broker bonds for lack of pay.
Repackaging cost of $1,400.00 was charged to carrier. Where is the other $1,400.00? Who accepted load after it was repackaged?
Too many variables not mentioned. Let the broker bond company sort it out. It may be a valid claim. It might not.
TQL might bond themselves and won't care.
Will filing on the bond get him paid? I don't know or pretend to know. IF he doesn't file, he won't know either. There is no cost to file a claim and my experience it is only a few pieces of paper required to do so.Iamoverit Thanks this. -
I've hauled about 25 loads for TQL and they've never stolen a dime from me. In fact, they've paid the highest rate I've ever charged for detention. It ended up being like 6 hours of 150/hr one time. All in all they've been some of the best paying loads I've ever had. Always pay on time too. If they need it moved, they will pay.

Lots of variables indeed. So much left out here.
