    Hello everyone,

I have a problem I graduated from Trucking school In Jan 2008 went and drove for US Xpress for two weeks. I had already put my application in for CSX Railroad before going to school and got a call from CSX during my second week training with US Xpress. I got the jobs as freight conductor with CSX is was great until they layed me off in March of 09. Well I am trying to find a trucking company that will hire me now, I can't find anyone to hire me since I am not a recent graduate of a trucking school and I have no experience, and I also have one speeding ticket that was 21 miles over the limit. Besides that my record is clean and that speeding ticket will be off my record this coming July. Can anyone tell me a company that might hire me? I don't care how bad the company is my plan is to stick it out for 6 months and then find a company that suits me better. I have already tryed US Xpress,TMC,Maverick and Roehl. Any Advice?

I don't think anyone is going to touch you with 21mph over since it's consider reckless driving. Not in todays market anyway with all the drivers that companies have to pick from. All you can do is search and apply.

Even if you had experience no company's insurance is going to want to
touch you with that 21 mph over ticket since it is considered wreak-less
    driving.

With that ticket, you are not going anywhere, I had one for 27 over back in 05 and now it is off the record.
CSX is weird when it comes to their employees. My co-worker got hired on with CSX and used Mike (CEO) as his reference since we know him. Mike promised him that he will be protected from the layoffs. Six months after working at CSX my friend got laid off, and Mike did nothing to keep his job. Yes I work with the CEO of CSX.

Thanks guys thats what I figured Swift said they would hire me. I am not a big fan of Swift like most people but it's a start. They said since it was in a personal vehicle actually a motorcycle and since that was all I had on my record that they could hire me. I am suppost to fax them a employee verfication form. I am going to think about it a few days I might just wait till July I know my choices will be alot better. But I really appreciate your advice. And The police officer that gave me the ticket said it wasn't reckless driving I always thought anything over 15 was but he said it wasn't heck if I know.

Forgive me if you already went through this? But did you get any thing knocked off that ticket for paying it early? I had gotten a 15 mph over ticket that was going to be four points but I paid it early and they knocked off 2 turning it into a defective vehicle ticket. At that point on your MV report it would look no worse than a busted tail light... I assume you have a copy of your MVR right?
