    Hi everyone! I come from a trucking background of a sorts...my dad was a driver for 50 years before he retired and I worked with him back when I was a pup. He taught me how to drive back before CDL's but I never went any further with trucking. (Young and stupid, I suppose.) Now after working as a shipper for 20 years and with no job right now, I'm here to get all the information on the career that I should have gone into 20 years ago. And Dad's no help because trucking is nothing like it was back when he was driving...

    Welcome Vox! Even though your dad might not be able to help in specifics about trucking today, I'll bet he can be a great help as you progress. Also, the environment you were raised in will probably help you to understand things and understand them more quickly than many new drivers.
