See where they run, or ask them about how heavy of a coat. The driver trainer would be the best person to ask. Definately want atleast 2 pair of pants.Another Canadian driver and nextgentrucker Thank this.

A wool blanket from Cabelas. They’re on sale right now. Bought one for the truck. Oh it’s so comfy and warm. Been driving six years. Never as comfy as I am now sleeping. Love it so much. Bought a second for home.
Oh…and…don’t forget your teddy bear.

Also another mentioned elsewhere. When you is a newbie. You got bags for everything. You can tell when a person has a few years in. They use a trash bag for clothes. A paper sack for the shower.Last edited: Jan 5, 2024

Most of this stuff is common sense. A sleeping bag and a pillow. A bag with your clean clothes (I change my underwear and socks every day, shirt every other day, trousers twice a week, and everything if I get dirty at a stop). A trash bag for your dirty laundry. I handle cold weather with layers, a zip up hoodie with a sweatshirt or sweater underneath if needed.
The other issue that will come up is food and drink. You’ll want a refillable water bottle or cup with a lid and straw, and a travel mug for coffee if you drink that. When I had a trainee for a week, I had him bring a small cooler with any food he’d want (I have a small fridge in my truck, but I use most of the space). When I first went out as a trainee myself, I brought a lot of very portable food, things like protein bars and drinks, things that didn’t require refrigeration or cooking. Check with your trainer to see how he handles meals.Another Canadian driver, nextgentrucker and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.
