Only if customer wants it.
What kosher means is a rabbi blessed the wash bay. It's not difficult to find one -
If the customer doesn't care can I get a kosher wash ticket from any wash station?austinmike Thanks this.

Probably not ANY wash station. You should call ahead to see if they offer it.

No, it means that a rabbi inspected the wash bay and reviewed its procedures to insure that there is no possibility of cross contamination between kosher and non-kosher (animal fat, dairy, certain fruit extracts) ingredients.
A wash rack knows if it is a kosher certified facility or not. Call and ask.
Is your next pick up specifying a "kosher wash"?
If you carried pork tallow, you need a different trailer.
If you carried any other non-kosher product, you need a "conversion" wash. That is, a caustic detergent wash, followed by a regular food grade wash.
If you don't know exactly what you need, call someone at your company. A tank rejection will shoot your schedule right in the butt.Flat Earth Trucker, motocross25, Suspect Zero and 3 others Thank this. -
OK labs in Brooklyn would send a Rabbi to the yard/wash in Rahway.
He would review with dispatch the last 3 products [not dedicated food there] then inspect the tank and wash area then seal the trailer.
Then he would return and write in Hebrew on the shipment papers.
The tractor stainless steel pump was checked by the rabbi at the shipment point, we pumped on and then off at Hoffman LaRoche in Nutley..
We did lot of caustic to another Hoffman location so it was eazy to have multiple prior loads of caustic [a kosher cleaning compound] before the Kosher wash.
One Rabbi didn't like hights, after quizzing the cleaning supervisor, handed over his seal and the wire telling him he is an honary Jew and to go up and seal it for him.beastr123, homeskillet, dosgatos and 4 others Thank this. -
Thanks. This article has me confused whether I can go to a non-certified shop.

It’s been forever and a week since I pulled a food grade tanker, but kosher was based solely on your previous two loads. Both had to be acceptable, and no Rabbi was involved. Ymmv. I’m old, so disregard this post.
austinmike Thanks this.
