A good friend works for the State. I had no idea Michigan had as many big dairies. CT gave you some great advice there. I pulled tanker my 1st six months and fled as soon as i could with only 16 CSA points (Warnings). That industry runs fast & loose (Ag Exempt) and it's your keister if you do something stupid. Brutal hours & great pay. I lost 40 pounds living at KwikTrip and getting my rig in the Dairy Farmers of America Calendar, lol.

Only you know what you can do.
Double edged sword really. You're new and need to earn. Ag here tends to chew through drivers. They will push you to your driving limit. You saying "No" could very well mean looking for other work. It did for me and i was ok with it. They will hire new drivers.
I've always had good situational awareness. So the 70-100 hr weeks were a short term solution that gave me the experience for the long run. Paid my dues.. again i guess. Had i rolled a soft highway shoulder i would've have a reportable. Had the nod monkeys won and i fell asleep like many others, i'd have a reportable making other employment that much more difficult. The company I worked for has had 6 totaled tractor trailers this year. 5 before the snow/ice quit and another a few weeks ago. a fleet of 50'ish.
Their competition has had fatalities:
