Thank you every one. I did know about the fuel treatment. Not sure why I didn't think to mention it. Looks like I'll be hanging my keys up next Friday.
I want to work on it before I sell it. So it will be sitting till spring. With the occasional start to scare the mice away.

Treat fuel with anti gel before you park. Then before starting engine once in a while, just plug in the block heater for few hours. It will start and run just fine. Don't overthink it, fuel lines won't freeze.

Its probably the same as they sell in ND and MN. Looks like clear water and it was over a dollar more per gallon vs #2 last winterdrh72, Rideandrepair and Keepforgettingmypassword Thank this.

My old boss would always fill the 10k tank at the yard with Candian fuel in the winter, and I’d always trust Canadian fuel more than I would straight #1 too. Coldest air temp I was ever in personally was -47F and I never had any issues.

1st, congrats for hanging up the keys. You shan't be disappointed. 2nd, unless you last fueled up in Mexico, fuel lines shouldn't freeze. A bigger concern would be the air system, that could have moisture, and brakes sticking. Just starting a diesel and not fully warmed up, could be more of a problem too, if it's just a couple months, I'd just let it sit. Good luck, and stick around, eh?Rideandrepair and Keepforgettingmypassword Thank this.

I'm not disappointed I literally fulfilled my life's dream seen some beautiful parts of the country and meet some really cool and really spooky people out here. I'm only 43. Time to get out while I'm still fairly healthy and to see what my next chapter is. I've been on this board for three years before I even started CDL school. I don't think I can just walk away.
As far as the airlines, should I pretreat them with the acholol stuff or just drain them down?gokiddogo, Rideandrepair, 201 and 1 other person Thank this. -
