Thinking of replacing a Detroit engine with a 3406 mechanical Cat. Wondering about powering the ABS so it still functions. I dont think the two control modules communicate on trucks this old. Any insight would be great.

Cool Thanks.

Wire the light into a switch and loose the abs too…

That's been thought of. But if a Diesel Cop watches you turn key on and off to verify there's a light in the dash they can see what your up to.

That’s why you hide a toggle switch somewhere you can reach with your other hand…. So you can turn the key and hit the switch at the same time

I'd rather have a functional ABS system. Have a good day.

The ABS connects to the engine through the data link. So it will work the same.

Next question. Where can I find the proper mechanical fuel pedal and linkages?
