Confused. I said taken it 7 times. Meaning I've passed the last 7 years. Didn't lie about anything or asked how to get around it.

So your saying before I pass I'll need to have proof of using it for awhile? Wouldn't that take weeks or longer.

She said get a CPAP machine. All I was told. Then to redo the dot test.

Still waiting on my Drs to reply.

Hopefully, some regular will have had a similar event and can help the OP.
I wonder if the people posting these questions every think to ask the doctors and nurses at the clinic?
Here's a hint for new posters, none of us know what the doctor, nurse, employer, Dept of Motor Vehicles clerk, cop, employer meant when they said some two-word phrase. The person saying that two-word phrase knew and it would have been good to ask that person or call/email/ask in-person now. Truck drivers are not experts on every topic outside of trucking, no matter how expert we all feel while alone in the truck or online. Doctors and nurses, lawyers, employers, etc don't often hang out in the trucking forum. They have their own message boards. While most drivers are quite familiar with what they have done numerous times before, very few of us had your background, visited your clinic, had the same issue.

One piece of advice about paperwork, when they ask a question, they want an answer to THAT question, not something similar you may have answered a hundred times before. Paperwork, especially govt paperwork is a yes/no exercise. I all of your answers put you in the "yes" pile then you get one result. If all of your answers don't put you in the "yes" pile you go in the "no" pile. The goal is to get put in the "yes" pile. If you can see a version of the paperwork you will need to fill-out before you get to the clinic or govt office study it so you can have an easier time getting put in the "yes" pile. The paperwork is an obstacle you overcome. The more preparation you have the easier it is to overcome. Good luck.

Is it your doctor failing you or their doctor.. your doctor is familiar with your history and sometimes more accurate than a random doctor…

I am saying this, if you leave things out, like insulin use, you are lying on the form.

If you lie, then you should not be allowed to take another DOT physical for the rest of your life, meaning you should not get a job driving anything.

Cpap needs to be used, some will require 3 months, and others will require one full year of use. Getting it means nothing, using it means everything.

You are actually making a case for complete medical history to be available to any examiner which is why you don't leave things out for an examination.

You wont be working only 8 hours at any company really. Central transport usually has positions open that are warehouse and driving. They hire new drivers.

If you are honest on your dot physical questionnaire, you are a Boy Scout fool.

There are so many fly-by-night DOT physical places that don’t check anything. They take a $150 check and give you a sheet that you can use to earn your living.

I have been driving for many companies, and they all stole part of my paycheck for various reasons. Failed to pay layover, failed to pay detention, failed to pay me for spotting a trailer at their favorite customer, kept my last paycheck after quiting.

Why should you or any care if you can snake around the rules when this industry lives on stealing a driver’s pay?

When the questionnaire asks if you use medications, you anwser no.

When the questionnaire asks if you snore, you anwser no.

When the he questionnaire asks if you have ever had health problems, you answer with something innocuous like acid reflux or bromodosis.

Everything else is between you and your regular doctor.

Okay for a small carrier or a company that would honor a new med card you got from your place. Pretty hard or nearly impossible to steer them to your guy with the larger companies. I made the mistake of going to Concentra for a new company. and got caught in the sleep study BS.

I stayed with Schneider and when I went and got a 2 year card. Vault health flagged that since concentra wanted a sleep study and gave me a 3 month card.

I did the sleep study and tested for moderate obs. Maybe I will come to appreciate this however with everything else passing it does suck right now.

I love reading #### like this. You can tell he could barely get the cheetoh dust off his fingers to spell this stupid crap out. Nobody with so many problems should be barrelling down our highways endangering our families because, well, I don't know why. There are reasons for the medical card. God #### people, trucking should be the last job for sneaking one on the DOT. People die. Look it up.
