@TripleSix have you seen the price of weights lately? Decided I've levelled up enough to add some 50 pound dumbbells to the gym and they were $110 each! Glad they were on sale for significantly less.
I remember back in 2016 when I first started buying plates and dumbbells they were roughly a buck a pound regular price.TX2Day, singlescrewshaker, Feedman and 6 others Thank this. -
Friendly story and reminder to all of the drivers who wear glasses and contacts. Don't forget to get your new eye exams done this year and keep up with your eyewear prescription.
I had a new eye exam last week at a new optometrist and she was great. Very thorough with finding the right prescription for my contacts. She made a suggestion for me to try a different style of contact lense and I picked them up today and man what a difference. The new style lense feels great and this is the best my contacts have felt and worked for several years. Amazing difference. The clarity of the new script and style of lense is excellent and when I put them on for the first time they felt great.
I had been wearing Accuvue lenses for 20 years and she recommended a change to the Biofinity Toric lenses and I could not be happier with her suggestion.
In closing, make sure you can see to drive and enjoy life with good vision. Haha. Y'all be safe!TX2Day, singlescrewshaker, Feedman and 10 others Thank this. -
They were $1/lb the last time I checked.
I don’t know if you knew or not, but the advantage that dumbbells and kettlebells give over the barbell and especially the machines is that they are much tougher to stabilize. When fatigue sets in, your strength isn’t the first thing to fail, but your ability to stabilize the weight. It’s the main reason why I get pissed at a so-called trainer who has someone paying good money to reach a fitness goal, and the trainer fleeces the client.
I can understand if the client is really old or rehabilitating an injury, but your ordinary everyday newb should be in the dumbbell section.singlescrewshaker, CAXPT, sawmill and 5 others Thank this. -
I should try them. I've been on accuvue forever but lately I just couldn't stand them...had to go back to glasses.TX2Day, singlescrewshaker, CAXPT and 7 others Thank this.
