I was considering renting a dry van as my family member has someone he rents trailers from. I have access to tools from an auto shop and am a bit mechanically inclined.

I'm going to go against the grain here.
The market for used is falling thru the floor. You can get a decent truck with your budget. What if you bought something for a steal, park it in your driveway, and drive a company truck? The fact of the matter is - at some point the market will recover, therefore there will be a bottom to the curve. The demand for trucks WILL return. It just seems some people think since things are down, they will continue to go down forever. Same mentality as when oil goes up, some people "its going to 300!" Or "it's going to 1000!" Bitcoin, same idea.blairandgretchen, Short Fuse EOD and Chinatown Thank this. -

I hadn't thought about that. Keep it serviced and clean so dry rot doesn't set in, especially the tires.gokiddogo Thanks this. -

Guys that sounds like a pretty solid choice. I mean its where I started with the idea with the fact that used trucks were 20 percent down year to year last month. should be little slow these first fresh months from new year but then we will see the rebound and that same used truck will go up. suggestions on a rig? I had my eyes on something post emissions cummins or detroit.gokiddogo and blairandgretchen Thank this.
