Peterbilt 587 vs. KW700

I'll take a T700 if given the choice.

They both are made by PACCAR but I always thought the KW was a step ahead in creature comforts on the inside for the driver.

 

Neither; Bland, dishwater styling. i mean really----are triangular headlights really going to save fuel? Why does EVERY carmaker and now truckmaker have to have triangular headlights? Where are the designer's imagination? We as a society have fallen.


i want(if i were going to buy a paccar product, which i wouldn't) a w-900B with 38" sleeper and around 180wb. And that's still available as far as i know.

 

What is the attraction to a sleeper that small?And a flat top?

 

KW....Always a better, more comfortable, roomier, classier and way better looking truck than Peterbilt.

PACCAR owns Peterbilt and was KW before they bought Peterbilt....Peterbilt has always been second fiddle to KW at PACCAR, Always getting just a little less in the line of comfort or style than the original.

Besides, Anyone that still has the clutch pedal poking through a hole in the floor in 2010 doesn't build a top of the line truck in my opinion!


Oh yeah, As for the T700 and it's Peterbilt cousin....They're both hideous and I wouldn't waste a dime on either one!

 

The attraction is, i'm only one person so i only need one bed, not two(hence flattop) and i don't need that much space---i only need room for a flatscreen tv.

Well, ok i could use a shower and a bathroom, but i could make one out of a 72" condo.

 

You don't need a condo to be a cassanova but it don't hurt!!

 

i think i could do it---judicious use of available space is the key i think; There should be some storage space under the bunk. At the same token, i don't carry much stuff with me---a flatscreen, laptop, bike(i admit this will be a problem w/out a condo) extra clothes and toiletrees, tools which can go in the sideboxes and that's about it.

2) i drove a daycab once cross country with no problems about 2 yrs ago and her wheelbase was about 184", so i'm not sure how wb factors into the "can he do it" equation?
