Driving with sleep apnea

Try Schneider and Swift.. both of these companies have sleep apnea testing and treatment programs.. so they are used to drivers with sleep apnea.

Avoid Western Express.. they require a 2 year medical card something it's impossible to get if you have sleep apnea.

Does anyone know if this is gonna catch on with all the trucking companies or what? I ran into a driver from Decker and Western Express yesterday in Fort Dodge,Ia,and both said wearing the mask at night made it almost impossible to sleep! Jeegads,what next??

 

it has already caught on. When you renew your medical card they will automatically do a questionaire regarding your health, sleep habits, breathing, and measure your neck and check your BMI. I went for a checkup at my regular Dr. last week for insomnia, he did the apnea paper on me at that time. If you score above a 34, your automatically required to get a sleep study done. I scored a 27, I'm borderline, my medical card expires in '11, I've got about 1 yr to loose 30 lbs to keep my number down enough to not have to take the test. Note, if your fmaily physician is capable of doing your DOT, I would recommend going to them, they will be less likely to recommend you for a sleep study.

 

A micro chip will be put into all humans to monitor thoughts and actions.This info will be sent to a new entity called WWFU. Chips will be going into newborns to control sexual urges,fast food urges,and to make you a more efficient drone and so on.We will be turned into "perfect" drones soon.

If you're tested and it turns out that you do have sleep apnea, you wont want to give the cpap machine & "mask" up after you find out how much better you feel.
I've been using one for over 10 years and can't function without it. I'm not saying that the government should force people but if you have a lot of the symptoms you're a fool for refusing to be tested.
It could save your life.

 

There may be a surgery they do with a laser to cure apnea.
