    Hiya Sandie!

A warm Alaskan welcome! OMG...there sure are some real gems on this board, huh? LOL.

LOL@ Oldnewbiegonnabe. That's was either brave or iNSaNe!!! :biggrin_25523:

ETA: by the way, I must be the only American female that leaves the toilet seat UP at work, since I'm the only woman in my shop. Meh....I don't mind. I figure it's just a nice gesture for the men. They treat me very well....I love my co-workers!

    Hi PinkPedal,
We have thought of relocating to Alaska quite often but have always been afraid to make that jump... Thanks for the welcome.

Alaska is a neat place, and if you like 4wheeling, snow machining and hunting it's a great state to more, but it sure is a BIG jump to move here. Visit first.

Anchorage is not really Alaska anymore--it's very congested, crowded, chain stores all over.....it exactly like Seattle these days, but it's more dirty and lots of topless bars...lots of seedy places there (good for single guys tho).

I live in the Interior where it's much colder and it tends to scare off folks.

It can be very expensive to live in Alaska. I live cheaply by living without any running water in a small cabin. It's not bad as it sounds and it's very common.

    Baack Thanks this.

Judi Kay, did you see that the mods deleted Oldie's post? :biggrin_25524:

And we were having so much fun, collecting up the frying pans and rolling pins ready for a "little chat" with him! :director: :smt021 :smt075 :smt064
