I was moved out of my Management Job at a Factory and Now drive Hi Lo on 2nd Shift at the same Factory. A year after turning down the 2nd Shift Supervisor Job I am now working 2nd Shift for about 200 - 300 dollars less per week.
Looking into OTR Trucking from MI, Big Rapids to be exact. I came really close to joining Schnieder after I got out of the Army in 1992. I know I'll get the Bad trucks and the bad loads at first, but I am willing and very capable of working through that. Just want to stay busy
and make more that what I currently do, which isn't too hard.

Thanks to all who have replied thus far. I had to exit while my team was getting to the Elite 8. I Bleed Green and White. Has anyone heard of West Michigan CDL?. Whats the best way to get rolling? Been reading a lot of Posts and filtering out all of the complaining. Reading through the B.S. can take a while. I side on caution when making choices about whom to go to and which company to stay away from. Pretty negative at my work right now and I do want that type of energy in my next career. I would really like to focus on a career path that would lead to Training drivers and more. I really love learning and helping others learn. I am kind of a sponge that way. Not to worried about being on the road too long. Been there and done that in the service. Anyone who's been a Cavalry Scout knows what I did for 10 years. More worried about the Homefront than I am about me.

Hello and Welcome

Welcome Kevscout. So sorry about your experience with your job. Unfortunately that seems to be the norm in this economy anymore - same or more work and less pay. Good luck as you investigate trucking. I hope you find something that suits you.
