They just rebuilt most of the service plazas on the turnpike not too long ago and now, in order to justify to increased tolls, they want to waste evenmore money on services no one wants?????
So in 2 years, when the road is full of potholes, they will raise tolls AGAIN so they can repair the stinking road that they neglected for these ####### service plazas!!!
All I can think to say here is "Baa, Baaa! " just like a bunch of stupid sheep, waiting to get fleeced again! -
The ones being discussed are the ones they closed in the last year or so at mile marker 20 or so.
-
It's still a collossal waste of money on something nobody wants or needs...And most likely won't use.
-
I do not understand where you come up with this.
These places were full at night. Most of the service plazas are full the last time through there.
I have stayed at these closed plazas before they were closed.
Evidently the tollway administration sees a need for it. -
The plazas will be used....I use them all the time and would like to see more of them as well but the Green technology will for the most part not be used and will fall into disrepair and cost a ton of money for something no one wants or needs.
But it will make the lib idiots feel good about themselves.... -
The green technology is kind of a laugh.

They raised the tolls a few years ago for construction, and built an extra lane trucks can't use. Another raise, and this time to help for ethanol cars, and electric cars. Jeez I can barely wait to see what I am going to pay for and NOT get to use next!
truckerdave1970 Thanks this. -
I think Ohio pike is great compared to other toll roads I have driven on. The PA pike is a royal piece of crap and the rates are outrageous, it cost me almost 40 bucks to go 75 miles at a class 7!
