failure in trucking comes from a failed economy and greedy brokers , when a o/o needs a certain amount to run his operation, to cover his truck payment, maint, insurance, along with maybey just maybe enough to collect a check to pay his personal bills, but with obamanomics,,,and our faithfull goverment taxing the americans to the point theres no middle class ,,,,,,,its a formular for failer

now if you have worthwhile advice to give why not give it its free they dont have to take it and it might just help some one in need and if we cant at least try to help some one that makes us worthless, thats a big part of this business helping each other or its supposed to be any way.

What do you class a a failure?
And let's be honest how can we learn to be succesful if we don't learn from failures.
Not that I don't want to see anyone fail, it will happen.

Machine this is a forum for everyone to learn, please bring something positive to the forum and help others.

Sounds like another bitter driver blindly blaming everything that moves.....everything other than themselves. What about all the O/Os out there doing good? who gets credit for that? the guy out there busting his butt every day thats who. Im not into any of these politicians...but your blaming taxes for not being able to make money in trucking?? whether its obama, bush, clinton or reagan in the white house there has always been drivers making a good living. maybe you should find one and let them mentor you. Who knows, you may excel at it then you can stop blaming the president for your lack of success.

The O/O that's making it work and not hauling cheap freight.

The administration has quite a bit to do with it...

I was in this business under all of the Presidents that you mentioned and also, Carter, Ford and Nixon.
If I'm not mistaken southernpride was here through all of those I was here for as well as Johnson, Kennedy, and Eisenhower.

Nixon gave us the national 55 mph speed limit, Ford did nothing, Carter and his economic policies #### near broke a lot of us and did break some, Reagan did some good things and some bad but his economic policies helped me and many others get stronger financially, Bush 1 was OK, I made money under him, Clinton? While I didn't have a high opinion of him as a President, I did well during the Clinton years, Bush 2, I had a pretty low opinion of him and yet I did very well under him because he didn't muck around with it much, Obama...Is going to do more damage than Carter ever did because he's breaking the financial back of this country with his poor economic policies and aggressive welfare state agenda...The country will be lucky to survive this guy much less the transportation industry!

Like it or not the occupant of the whitehouse has a lot to do with the success or failure of businesses large and small.

Yep pretty much. I have read nearly all of his post so far and he has done nothing but argue with the OP or someone else on any thread he's posted on. He's just a Billy Big Rigger know it all and yes your right he'll be gone soon enough.
