It would not surprise me in the least to find that the Mega Carriers/CDL mills are right there in bed with govt. on this one...why have 38/40/42 cpm drivers when they can clean the flock without recourse from the flock...keep the drivers below 30cpm greater profits for the mega's.

It's the perfect way to be able to cry driver shortage. That way they can get permits from the government to bring in foreigners at a greatly reduced pay.

Like I said inother threads, they don't care how or why they get rid of us, they just want us high paid drivers gone!

Do you write the leak up on the inspection sheet each day?

I got stopped by the Kansas HP last week for 63 in 55. He did not give me a ticket but did a level II and wrote up one drive tire as 70 lbs psi. This a tire I have been airing up every few days that the mechanic could not find the leak. Yes, I did thump the tires with a 3 lb hammer on pre trip and should have put a gauge to it. I never did see him gauge any of the tires, but he did check the tread depth since I am due for new tires this month.
Question...Does this get me any points on the CSA2010?

    In a word, yes.
Someone on here can tell exactly what for and how many I'm sure.
But you had a vehicle defect which was reported on the inspection report and it will cost you points!

70 lbs on a tire is considered a flat tire. So just look up the points on that.

I wonder how CSA 2010 will end up affecting small local grading and paving companies that routinely get overweight tickets, along with numerous flat tires and trucks not always being 100%.

I am thinking about checking into working part time for a company I used to contract my dump to. The main problem is they usually put 22-24 tons of asphalt on their 10 wheel dumps. They said if one got caught a day, they still came out way ahead. I wonder if they are still thinking like that.
