Does anyone know anything about Hendrickson trucking out of Sacramento? We recently relocated to the Redding area, and would like to find a reputable company to drive for, that could get us home more often than the AR-based company we are currently with. All input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

Don't know anything about that particular company, but there are a TON of companies here on the west coast that pretty much dedicate themselves to the I-5 corridor, at least from L.A. to Seattle, Wa. I would think a short google search or something similar would produce quite a list. What kind of trucking are you looking for; van, flatbed, reefer?

    By the way, WELCOME! :biggrin_25525:

Thanks! My husband is looking for a company that can get us home to northern CA more often than who he drives for now.(we recently relocated to be near family) He is looking for a compant that does mainly reefer loads. I did the google search for the two companies he is looking for,and have applied to Hendrickson. But we are just wanting some input from anyone who works for them, or knows someone who has. I looked them up on BBB, and also on the licensing bureau site. They are in good standing with both. Was just hoping for someone who had personal experience with the company to talk to. Thanks, and thank you for the welcome!

You should look on the FMCSA SafeStat site. They're not that great of a company and show some not so good numbers.

Please don't go to Hendrikson! We learned the hard way. You WON'T make any money.
    .90 pm
    1.00 fuel surcharge
The truck payments, ins, maint, tags etc will be more that your "pay"
    Run away....... sad but true

Hendrickson Trucking is only hiring Lease purchase operators now. I know their recruiting ads and website say company drivers, but I just talked to the recruiter "Dick" today and he said that they only want lease purchase operators now. He was honest in saying that you wont make much money and have to run continuously for the first Three and a half months to pay for the Trucks Registration.-? He said Hendrickson is switching to only Lease Operators because Californias Workmans Comp is too much. He also said its smart for the company because the lease purchase driver basically reimburses the Company for more than the value of the Truck and gets a Truck in the end---either a 08 Volvo or 06 Freightliner after the 3 or 6 year lease.
