Does anyone know if it's possible to get a pre hire from a trucking company before you commit to paying for a school ?

I know a pre hire is not a promise of employment, but it would be nice to know if a certain company would at least give a good look.

    TIA

Most won't even talk yo you unless you have a CDL. Some would say get one then call us. The prehire does not mean anything.

I have a CDL but haven't driven in twenty something odd years. Nothing verifiable anyway. I don't want to pay for the school unless I know I have a pretty good chance of getting on somewhere. I will basically be buying a job. That's why I was wondering if it's possible to get a pre hire.

How did you go about that ? Did you do it through the school or on your own by calling recruiters ?
