We called it either the vista cruiser or shaggin waggin. But I'm sure there's plenty other names out there for it. The US Gov't might want to look into that car as a 4-wheeled tank hybrid

The Shaggin' Wagon...that's the car I took always! I almost got stuck once in the Malibu when the key wouldn't turn to start it and I took the cruiser from then on....reminded me of driving cars like that when I was a teenager.....

Well this has been a long 3 days and it isnt getting any better.

Friday finish up my paperwork and head out with Dick to Utah to pickup my truck. I get there and its destroyed. its been jacknifed, pretty good chance someone hit the front hood with something as the grill is falling off and the hood has cracks all on it. The fairings on both sides are bent and one has a hole in it. the front window is cracked and the truck barely started. I took it over to the other side of the lot and left it running with the heater on, then I shut it down and went to bed. 4Am roles around and im freezing. Because the driverside door doesnt shut all the way and the seal is all tore up. I goto start it to get the heater again and it doesnt start. Great!

I call Mark and tell him whats up, he said he didnt know too much about it but will handle it when I get back up to Helena. Ok I can do that. So I take off for Wyoming, I show up and park for the night (Little America truck stops are awesome), next morning I get up and run to pickup my load down the road. I get there and get loaded. I then head out for Colorado. I get here last night late enough for the stop where I need to fuel to be PACKED. And I mean packed. I find a spot finally and park for the night. Knowing I have to be at my stop at 7am I get some sleep. So I show up at 7AM and get told that my appt wasn't until 7PM! I called dispatch and they tell me that It is set for 7am. So now im here and they are gonna unload me because they realize that im sitting.

So for a first trip this has been rough. Hopefully it will get better today.

Wow, your story is even worse than mine!! At least mine hasn't been in an accident, it is just mechanically messed up....hope it gets better for you!

So, I just delivered my load here in SE North Carolina, sent Macro 11 and just waiting to hear back from Conover....I NEED to go there so I can have Missoula overnight my new registration and tags for the truck, they expire on Thursday, so I'd like to have them tomorrow or Wednesday...it's a long deadhead to get there, so hopefully they can find something short to get me most of the way there but I'm not holding my breath....gonna call them again in a few.

I finally got my load delivered this morning in Elizabethtown, NC. I am supposed to pick up my registration/tags at the Conover terminal, so I basically trucked all the way across the state deadhead. I did trade trailers with a local driver and brought it here, so got paid for all the miles...YAY. This has been a good week, over 3500 miles I believe...

    Lynchmob Thanks this.

Lol atleast your moving I stayed at a unload all day, I sent in my Empty and available and got nothing, daily call nothing. I ended up getting unloaded around 7pm. so I went back to the SAPP Bros I was at last night (18 miles away) for the night. Hopefully something will come through tomorrow. This is definatly breaking me in haha. Get there and sit all day.

I sat overnite in Conover, got a load assigned back to lovely PA only to find that my registration and tags STILL haven't made it here.....They got sent to Indianapolis, where I was last week, and the terminal manager there dropped the ball and forgot to ship them here. I had to turn down the load to PA so I don't get caught out there with expired tags...I'm kind of frustrated with WS at the moment, but it will get better I know....

Oh, if anyone wants to know where the nice trailers are at...it's Conover. More nice, new, clean trailers here than I've seen at the other terminals I've been to. This is a busy place, too. Trucks/trailers in and out all day long....they have some guys that work the yard dogs and boy they can back! But, I suppose when you spend all day every day doing it, you get real good at it....

Warp it is the same no matter what color your truck is. Always take the load but get it in writing or message they will pay the fines. If they say no, then the company was the one that turned down the load because its their truck. If they will eat the possible fines make sure the truck will pass DOT inspections! Darn if you do, darn if you don't. lol. Good Luck!
