Proper procedure is to call it in to your service team and they’ll let you know what to do next.
improper procedure is to I’ll it yourself if you know how to fill a hot tank. Lol -
Tank is actually cold still. Currently gravity unloading into it. Because pony motor chosen to break....viper822004 Thanks this.

Do any of you know or see any plug power drivers? I see genox pulling there trailers every since this happened in the vid below.

Lol. Maybe they sent everyone to have proper training. Our company will train our drivers for like 6 months and they have to pass their test or they won’t qualify them to haul hydrogen.Friend Thanks this.
-
So what exactly is happening in the video? I mean I get it's some sort of saftey feature venting the hydrogen but what "fail" caused that to happen?
viper822004 Thanks this. -
Maybe they forgot to open a valve that prevents pressure build up so the relief valve kicked in to let pressure out and creating what you see there. Hydrogen burns as soon as it leaves its containment.
If they were trained properly they wouldn’t have been running around like idiots.
@Cali kid probably knows exactly what’s going on since he hauls that stuff.H827OUT, Cali kid, Friend and 1 other person Thank this. -
Trailer/ Vessel has reached just under MAWP thus the safety lifted. When that happens the static charge from the hydrogen coming out under pressure can cause it to ignite. Since the safety is spring loaded it will continues to cycle until the pressure is less than the set point. All they had to do was open up manual vent valve to bring pressure below said set point. Also sad part is most of the newer LHY trailers don’t have a fire abatement system like the older ones. In which you have helium on board to snuff out stack fires.
They were probably near empty and this is when LHY trailers can build pressure fast if you don’t vent them down after last delivery. I’ve seen them jump as much as 50psi after final delivery within hour. After the initial spike they tend to settle and don’t build pressure nearly as fast.RockinChair, IH Truck Guy, Friend and 2 others Thank this. -
Genox has always had a contract with plug power and since they have the massive Amazon account they can’t keep it all in house.Friend and viper822004 Thank this.

What does Amazon use the hydrogen for?Friend Thanks this.
