Not trying to give advice here, just saying what I would do, or rather, would have done. And that is, when that transmission started having issues, just go ahead and spend the money up front and swap it out for a manual 13 speed and be done with it. Money saved in the long run.
Having issue with freight liner in shop. What should I do next

There's no clutch pedal so the cost wouldn't justify. If you want a Manual, you have to start with one.77fib77 Thanks this.

No argument LOTSO. Not only no clutch pedal, no shifter or linkage either, but all could be installed. Like I said, not trying to give advice here. Just saying what I would have done. Of course, I never would have bought an autoshift in the first place. Drove one for 3 years or so pulling a food grade tanker. Still have bad dreams about that POS autoshift transmission.

They’re going to keep throwing parts at it as long as your booklet of checks has pages on it. until the issue is fixed or not fixed.
If you’re a truck owner of 1 2 trucks I don’t think an automatic is the right move.
It’s one extra thing that’s always going to be in the back of your mind.. that flashing F on the dash and getting stuck. All for what?
Good luckDannyB, DAX_, LOTSO and 1 other person Thank this. -
Is it better? Any news?

Said they finished last night so I got it this morning.
in total they replaced the engine air filter and repaired the overlay harness
got the truck this morning and not even an hour later it’s stuck in neutral again
a week in the shop and $2300($1800 in labor) and they didn’t fix a #### thing77fib77 Thanks this. -

Like I said. Cheaper in the long run to junk the autoshift and put in a manual. -
I wonder if that's even possible or money wise. It's not as easy to convert nowadays with all the electronics.
