leaky wheel cylinder is a couple of hours, not ten minutes. A leaky can can be 20 minutes.

You had your truck towed because of a leaking brake chamber? Probably would’ve been a lot cheaper to call roadside service and have it changed out at the coop.

(The scale master showed up and CHEWED her behind for it and made her stand next to the truck with bottled water all while I tried to get a date with her, she was a cute little red head)

I think you got out of that ok. Redheads score above the scale on the insane chick meter.

LMAO! I agree, they can be a little cray-cray. I thought it was funny while she was under the truck measuring brake travel I released and reapplied the pedal causing a SWOOSH of air. She came shooting out the side on her creeper with a shocked look on her face.

Everytime I get the green light there I always look to see if she's looking out the window. Good times

A redhead huh? Did you guys hear about the redhead and the blonde that was walking by a flower shop? The redhead said:ugh! I hate getting flowers from my old man then having to lie on my bank with my legs in the air for three days!
And the blonde said: well don't you have a vase?

Yep. Dot does safety blitzes #### near every month. As it were I’d bet my left nut that fewer than 5% of us actually do a bona fide pre-trip on a daily basis. Probably not even on a weekly basis. Then we complain when we get dinged.

Agreed. But, the actual repair will cost the same regardless where it’s conducted.

I’ve been towed twice. One time a half mile to a truck stop. The other time about 45 miles. Each time time the bill was right at $900.

On the other hand I’ve blown out a few tires. The call out fee on those repairs have never been more than $250.

If I were running maintenance I would have sent a mobile mechanic and told him to make sure he took everything he could possibly need to fix whatever was cited. This would have saved time and money.

Money would be saved as noted. As far as time, he waited for a tow. He would have waited on a mechanic. So that’s what and what. But it’s expected that when the mechanic gets there he fixes the problem then the driver takes off.

Once towed to a repair facility the driver will have to wait in the maintenance que until it’s his turn. Theoretically this will increase down time unless the driver is lucky and the tow gets there much quicker than a mechanic then upon arrival at the maintenance facility there is no wait which is almost never the case.

Is there a lesson in any of this?

What would you do differently if given the chance?
