Well it was sold a few years ago. David Dollar started it and he got big time into the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series and sold the trucking company to a real estate guy and his wife from Airzona a few years back and they just leased the yard and changed the name to BBB Holdings. The guys wife was from Enid and a daughter of a well known vet and she was in Playboy back in the 90's but is pretty ruff looking these days. Well the couple ended up in divorce court and she got the trucking company, some guy from Tulsa bought the yard from David Dollar and she moved the trucking company south of the old yard. She purchased some new trucks about three years ago or so all T800 Kenworths and they still run some old W900L's.

No, saw they had a lot of loads going out of there. They have a big sunflower mill or elevator there.

A friend told me that Landstar took over some hauling out of that area and dropped the rate and was having a hard time getting trucks.

It seems like the big boys want to get in the bulk hauling business her in Oklahoma. Landstar took over Cargill's (Oklahoma City) bulk feed hauling to the farms a few years ago and then JB Hunt has a company truck or too hauling all the loads out of Evergreen Feeds in El Reno, OK.

I don't about Landstar but there are many brokered loads going out of Goodland. I've never asked for quote as Goodland is 300 miles from me. I am guessing it's not good with that many brokered loads.

All we need big boys messing with bulk loads.

Apparently, there is fertilizer coming out of there as well & just wondered what the rate structure on that is.

I pulled sunflower seeds out of there. Flat rate on the stripes. I was packed to the rails ad only had 67k.

Yeah, that'd be one area they haven't tried to screw up yet. So far, you'd think messing up the rates in 9/10's of the trucking industry would be satisfying enough. Last few years, they've been getting into glass hauling, tanker freight - maybe it's just a matter of time. I wonder what their green drivers would think of making a 5 point blind back into a mine shaft? :biggrin_25523:
