How does a dispatcher run you out of fuel? As a driver you are responsible to keep fuel in your saddles. When it runs low you tell them that you must fuel up. They understand this even if you have to go out of your way. Sorry, but this doen't sound real.

Not if they won't charge your card up except where they say. I wouldn't work for anyone like that. But it happens way more than you think. FFE dispatchers could care less what driver says or thinks.

Ffe sends you a fuel route with each dispatch and you can only fuel at those locations. Supposedly they won't even open up your card for emergency fuel anymore

    Big Duker Thanks this.

WPM if you don't like the route send ina macro 41, using cities along the route you prefer. They won't change your paid mileage for the trip, but you may get a better routing.

My husband doesnt have that problem. He just tells them I need fuel, and they ask for the station code, and he gets fuel. As far as the routing goes, he goes the way thats best, depending on time, weather conditions, etc. But as far as miles as of late, THEY SUCK BIG TIME! He hasnt gotten over 1100 mi. a week for the last 3 weeks. And, it doesnt look good in the near future either. Getting your layover and local pay is like pulling your own teeth with a pair of tweezers! He has been there 3 yrs. now, and has only gotten 3300 mi. once! He has to beg these planners and driver manager for loads. He is not one to just sit and wait. He is never late. So if you can survive on 200.00 a week, Then FFE is the place for you. If you have rent, elec, phone, and want to feed your family, Then go elswhere.

david07003 and Big Duker Thank this.

They have done me good so far. Miles have been steady, though I know I'm still new. I really don't have anything to complain about.

WPM, I know I warned you based on my experience with FFE, but I do wish you luck while you're with them. I can honestly say up until about my last 4-5 months things went pretty smoothly, then it seemed like I went over a cliff edge with them. Glad you're miles are staying steady and DECENT.

Well I can't complain so far other than this screw up in Denver sitting for 3 days. But that falls mainly on the shipper. I'm trying to get my 07 freightliner traded in for a prostar
