Unfortunately my family is all over the country, but the majority of them live in NY and NJ, and Eastern PA happens to be a great middle ground between upstate NY and Central/Southern NJ, with the added benefit that I don't need to worry about going to prison for owning 17rd and 27rd magazines for my firearm lol.
I moved out to Nevada to be a positive male role model for my niece for the past 5 years, but it's been difficult to see my other nieces and nephew in NY and NJ. I also have my father, grandparents, and two of my brothers out there as well. I'm looking to put down permanent roots and buy a house - if housing prices ever come back to reality. And to answer your other question, I'm from the suburban area north of NYC. -
My favorite part about driving through Nevada is stopping at night on the side of a lesser used hwy like 97, turn off the truck and listen - you hear nothing and it's amazing. It's incredibly peaceful, especially when the sky is clear and you can see every star in the Milky Way. I always take a moment to appreciate the stillness and serenity that you can't find anywhere else.hope not dumb twucker, Chinatown, silverspur and 1 other person Thank this.

Carlisle PA is the big trucking hub in those parts. Old Dominion, ABF mega terminals there. Grocery stores, WM, mechanics if you keep a car there.
Lots of trucking jobs to choose from Hagerstown MD on I-81 up through Pennsylvania to Interstate 78 east.
Sherwin Williams has a distribution center in Fredericksburg PA off 78, $ General Distribution center near there too, Swift terminal close by.
Huge dairy operation near Esthers restaurant on highway 22. Forget it's name. Blue trucks. -
All good reasons to be in that area.BillyBobFrank Thanks this.

Does it have to be a company position?
Are you considering buying a truck?
