you just have to take a chance, there’s no way to know any of that without talking to a driver that’s there. You’re alone in a truck and paid by the hour, you should be able to make it 6 months or more. if it’s that bad and your an experienced Cdl driver you can get a job in 5 mins somewhere else
it’s Airgas, they only hire somewhat experienced drivers. The sign on bonus is because they need drivers. you’re going to be on nights with a million rules and all the nanny tech. It’s going to suck and you’ll be there for the paycheck.
from experience I wouldn’t move for a job, I’d move where I want to be and then find the best job. No job or any amount of money is going to make you happy. All jobs have bs to deal with. If it’s not where you want to live you’ll end up leaving the first chance you get

I am not looking for money, yes it is good and once I learn the job it comes eventually. I will not jump out of a moving wagon without have some certain. I know trucking business well.
I am still researching a lot,The pandemic times mess with everything, before I was more adventurous to move and everything was different in this world.
I know about the hours. The nanny tech, well I have it in my truck, minus facing camera. Rules they all have it.
yes I am not moving for a job, and not moving because I think people are better on the other side, no illusions there I have drove all 48.
Thanks. -
If your appilcation is interesting, they will reach out. Relocation doesnt bother companies at all. I have been offered several jobs over my career, that were in different cities, or states. I left Arizona for a Job in Oregon. I left that job on the coast, and then relocated to Portland. All companies care about is adding a driver that they believe will be an asset. Relocation is easy, though finding a place to live can be difficult. MAke sure you have housing before you move.

You haven't seen Cryo. You saw....whatever it was that SPT tried to do, and thats why they are always hiring for cryo. Be open to relocation. Cryo with a private company is such a different world, and I think you would enjoy it alot more. I struggled with Linde, But that was a unique circumstance due to the operation of my satellite terminal with only 3 guys there. I would work for them in a heartbeat again and I'm researching positions know. I just dont know if I want to stay in oregon or start my career with Linde over again somewhere else. Cryo is a job you retire from.viper822004 Thanks this.

Oh I only move once I get all set up. and a plan B. I also have saved money aside for any problem. Rent, I usually ask for a 6 months or monthly contract with breaking contract for any excessive noises, pests, things like that, Not because of the job, but some places are beautiful outside during the day and a nightmare a night!scythe08 Thanks this.

Yes I am researching to get a job near or in my State first. Like I said there is only Airgas. I will talk with them and check it out. I am really careful taking risks.scythe08 Thanks this.

Relocating isn't a option for me. I'm honestly ok with doing something else. Atleast I tried it. Only reason leaving because was told might hurt myself. He even said I'm a great driver but its best to do something else.viper822004 and scythe08 Thank this.
