Love's is putting in automated truck washes. Supposed to have attendants to make sure "problem" areas get done. Who knows? I never go to truck washes anymore so I won't find out.
Saskfarmboy Thanks this. -
The truck wash in kittery maine had one of those years ago, just idled thru after paying no option for touch up. Was about the same money as a hand wash as I recall so that wasnt a selling point/ did a ok job: other than, ahem, if you were setting in the passenger seat of your friends 9900i and got to find out the door gasket had a leak when the 250 gallon fast dump rinse pumped all over you..

Halliburton had one in their yard in Odessa,I ran through it every time I came back into the yard, pulling cement trailers..It was made by Hurricane I think. They had some other bays with wands, for washing frac pumps.Running hotshot for them so got a different truck every day.hauled 3 or 4 loads of cement so 3 or4 different trailers each shift.
Flat Earth Trucker, Saskfarmboy and Siinman Thank this. -
From the company that can hardly keep most their air inflation systems up and staffed I'm not too confident.Saskfarmboy Thanks this.

You would be surprised. It’s only $35 for a tractor and $20 for a pickup if I remember right. They did a bang up job on my two escort trucks. The only spots they missed on my tractor was under the step on one side and the headache rack. Both of which I’ll point out to them next time and I’m sure they will get done.
Best part, no line, in and out in 20 minutes tops.
Crude Truckin', runningman0661, Saskfarmboy and 2 others Thank this. -
Not a fan. They might make the cab and hood look good but they'll never hit the important areas. Places where they use salt and crap like that on the roads you want to get that stuff cleaned off and flushed out regularly. No excuse for any truck to have rotted out diff housings or paper thin lower flanges on the frame.
Crude Truckin', Saskfarmboy and kemosabi49 Thank this. -
There’s one in Iowa on I-35 north of Des Moines. Forget the exit.
Saskfarmboy Thanks this. -
there's one 10 miles from me. I don't use it anymore for various reasons.
first and foremost I believe I lost a turbo because of it. during the rinse process it's an absolute deluge of water, heavier than the heaviest rain you've ever been in. truck running and external air cleaners equals soaking wet air filters. got holes in filtersRuthless and Saskfarmboy Thank this. -
I think I used the one in Brookville, PA one time. It was so long ago I couldn't even remember the place until somebody mentioned it.
That's definitely one of the less fun aspects of big truck ownership is that you cant just pull into any ole' self-serve joint and spray your rig off for 7 or 8 bucks like you can with a little truck.Saskfarmboy Thanks this.
