We have Herd bumpers on two pickups - one has been tested pretty well with deer and shows no sign on contact (once we cleaned the blood and hair off of it).

 

Yep, now it’s time for that lottery ticket.

Engine had just shy of 800k on it. Figured I’d start by cracking open the top end and take a look before I stared working on oil leaks. Everything checks out good. Just some very light scoring on some of the lobes and rocker followers. Nothing if any note and nothing needed adjusted.

As soon as the tree went down, I was remarking how beautiful the wood was. The finished product is mind blowing.

There’s a motel in San Antonio that I used to stay at with a wood carved statue of GuanYu in the lobby (I guess the owners were Chinese). The lady behind the desk was amazed, “You know who that is!”

I only wish I had the talent to carve a work of art from wood.
