Where is everyone #5

I love wood working. I have a nice piece of maple I'm letting dry out. Planning to turn it into a guitar neck.

 

Pictures of the entire process would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve never had the opportunity to create art, but IMO one of the most satisfying things you can do as a young person, in particularly being a Man, is to take an idea and make it a reality. Doesn’t matter what it is.

One of the most satisfying moments for me was when my brothers and I would finish building a house, I would get my grandfather out for lunch, and take him to the house. The trim, the hardwood floors, the wood cabinets and the fixtures would sell a house.

I can’t think of anything that boosts your self esteem like working with your hands to make an idea into reality.

 

Current situation

i Built a one room Log Cabin when i was 20...12×12 with a cantilevered porch...Sleeping area was above the porch...Pulled the logs with a riding lawn mower...Had to bolt 3 foot boom poles on the mower...Good Days...

This is as carby as I can get at the moment..

 

Its a great feeling when you finally get to take a step back and admire what you've built. There's still a few things I'd like to try my hand at yet. Apparently there's an old school blacksmith shop nearby that offers weekend classes.

 

I started to watch it earlier, finished now and wow. What skill and craftsmanship. Then I read the comments from the tree huggers. Guessing they all eat air and live in 100% recycled homes.
