That is something that interests me as well. There also is a guy in town here that will teach blowing glass. Thought about trying it. I can stand and just watch either all day long.

 

• Years ago, I visited Mepkin Abbey, a monastery north of Charleston SC. They have monks there working, full on farm life, and they sold eggs to the general public. Those PETA people were there protesting the eggs. Plain chicken eggs. According to PETA, the humane way to get eggs is not from a farm, but from the grocery store…apparently grocery produce eggs without chickens and coops.

  Tree huggers probably believe that their houses were all planted and grown by using 30lb house seeds found in the Amazon jungle.

 

The guy that owns the land behind me is a Master Carver. He's Native American lives NorCal coast and makes canoes out of Redwood logs. He built his log cabin down there then brought it up here, incredible craftsmanship. Big outdoor sportsman, this is fall whitetail hunting spot for him. Grand Slam mounts on one wall. Cool guy to talk to.

 

Glass blowing is neat, I've seen it done a few times.

 

Years ago I had a regular stop to deliver the colored glass rods.
The guy would make a bunch of things and ship them off to Hawaii to sell in his store their.
Pretty interesting to watch the guy had talent

 

I appreciate it. But I'm a wood butcher. Great with mechanical things but not artistic. I'm envious of the wood craftsmen. That gene skipped me and my father. My younger brother and two good friends are craftsmen. Just beautiful to see the stuff they can build. I can watch those projects all day long.

 

I'm not one to cut a tree down for no reason. Or kill a animal for no reason. But I don't wanna live in a plastic tent, and I prefer my protein cooked over fire. Those morons are just that. Morons who can't see past thier own nose.

 

I understand that. I do the same. But at the very least, if you are going to declare war, or protest, or debate, or whatever these people do, 1. learn both sides of the issue.
2. walk a mile in the other person’s shoes
3. at the very least make an effort to understand the opposing point of view

 

Yeah. Ground steak.

 

That's not how they work. Their personal beliefs are 100% real and you will listen to them. I despise narrow minded people. They announce quickly how stupid they are. Then your the ahole for calling them stupid.
