That is a terrible stretch of highway through there.

 

Probably hit pothole and blew a steer tire , 80 thru will county is a goat trail .

 

I remember a few years ago, there was a billboard that said "Smooth Roads, Brought to You by Democrats"... right near the worst stretch of that highway, just East of the river. That and the "Drive FRIENDLY...the Texas way" signs never failed to make me giggle and piss me off at the same time.

 

So, what happened here? I say, there's more to this story, the damage to the car, is not conducive to the damage on the truck. Used to be, Cryogenic drivers were just the best, I think still are, never saw one in a wreck. I say hit the back of another truck not shown.

Well Brad, there isn’t enough tax money to fix the roads AND steal for non road stuff. The citizens simply need to buckle down and pay more.

Just wait til they replace that crumbling steel bridge over the Des plaines River. Which is already has a poor rating That area will be a nightmare. They'd probably have to build a new one 1st but there's really no room for that
