Better be good going in because it's $1.50 a mile coming out

I tell you what, I got skittered pretty bad in deep east tx one time. This girl I know sent me a pic of this creature someone supposedly caught out there around Eagle ford. It was creepy looking. Werewolf looking thing.
So I stop at this little roadside rest area that night near Pineland tx. I was only one there. Dark. Wind blowing pine trees back and forth. I step out for a smoke. I hear a dog barking and howling in the distance. F this. Jumped in the truck and hightailed up to the truck stop.

I live in Texas, and there isn’t a genuine mountain in the state, at least anywhere near a highway.

When I first started driving(1980), I drove trucks WITHOUT Jake’s and A/C drove to wherever I was told. My runs always had Mountain/Hills and I never thought about it. That’s the way I was taught to drive. Jake’s back then was a luxury item.

People from Texas are awesome. They may fire pistols in the air, but a more resilient group of folks I doubt you'll find. Either it's dry as a bone, or flooding, or freezing, when I get representatives on the phone, I always ask where they are from, and you can tell the ones from Texas. I think someone wanted your Texas runs and gave you a line of hooey about any hills. Now you come into my state, that takes some training.

IDK who was yank’s his chain about needing a big motor & jakes run in and out of there I run with a lot with trucks that were 350 hp and no jakes they seemed to not have any issues I t shouldn’t be a issue getting from Ohio to Texas either

Michigan has more mountains than Texas has.

Now how in the hell can you tell him that ? 1you have no idea maybe the company he is leased too has good loads outa there
2 You don’t know type of wagon he is dragging so maybe it’s specialized freight
3 just because you can’t ever get good loads you think everybody else is in the same boat as you
    4. Why is it you are nothing but doom & gloom . Did your mommy not huge you enough as a child ?

I think he was more concerned about getting over the hills between Ohio and Texas than the actual roads in Texas.
