Purchasing a CMV is very different than purchasing a private auto. The last one I bought took about three weeks to take delivery. By the time they performed the agreed upon repairs, paperwork was completed and everything was ready to go. Stay in touch with your sales rep, and be patient, it will all happen in the due course of time.

buying it is the easy part, unfortunately...
Prepare yourself for the hassle of tilting, registration, IFTA, HVUT, Insurance, etc.
Enjoy your new found second job!Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
My last truck was a new glider, and we waited six months for some clown at PennDot to process the paperwork. Truck was built, inspected and fully ready to roll, in our parking lot. For six months....

I’m guessing the 100 point inspection is for warranty purposes. If buying used, I’d be more interested in a 3rd party inspection. The way my cynical mind works, if it’s a used Truck, I’d be wondering what they’re hiding or repairing. Funny how once any business gets your money, they tend to ease up on customer service. The incentives gone. Done deal. On to other deals. Contractors of any type seem to do this a lot. Only leverage you have is withholding payment till everything promised is delivered. Can’t be a nice guy and trust anyone unfortunately. Made that mistake too many times.

Hiccups happen. I got my rig and had to wait months to get a irp account. My state irp office was working “remotely.” So no one was working. Had to get my state rep in the state house involved to get things moving. Welcome to the transport industry, its motto, Gumby.
