Not laughing at you! But laughing, I've done that and worse. Sunday night I installed a new washer for a friend. It didn't start the first 3 trys. Well the 4th time that some idiot turned the water back on, it worked fine. He was written up for his performance and reprimanded. But I was thankful, that I was alone. :(

Yes, the 427 outlasted the 454. Mild built 427 5 speed progressive Clark Trans and 2 speed rear axle. 2-100 gallon tanks. Sounded like the slowest Nascar race ever. But wound up, she ran pretty darn good. There was a steel hauler outfit by us who ran them. 3 axle cities and black C70's. Gave big diesels trouble out on the turnpike. But Ol Milt Baker even had Chevy build some with hollow tube steer axles for weight savings.

Well I did put gas in it, just not enough. By the time I realized that the RH cylinder was sucking in air past the boot and that I needed to have the whole intake system hooked up I had burnt most of the gas in the tank. Then while I was setting the idle and air screws it had burnt the rest of it. Took about 10-15 minutes to realize WTF was going on.

Homemade water manometer. I like that! I was going to buy a set of vacuum gauges, I could use them at work too.

Not sure if the boom was up like that or not when he hit the bridge. Three lanes under the bridge and chunks of concrete in the right lane. The police had the right lane blocked…..

Might as well do a Ritchie Bros. Rebuild™ while it's this far apart.
