Schneider veteran here....

Schneider does have a lot to offer to a new driver.

But -- be advised -- your time out on a trainer's truck is short -- compared to other carriers that hire/train new drivers.

Schneider will expect a lot out of you, in a hurry.

If you still have kids at home, maybe a dedicated run would be best. Most of those mega carriers have those runs, Target, Walmart, O’riellys, etc.

Might be hard to get one of those right outta school though... at least it used to be. Could be different now.

 

Right, need at least 3 mos. experience, except for Dollar General account. No one right out of cdl school should accept a Dollar General account, because that can be a career ender. Avoid any account with the word "Dollar" in it.

 

Probably get by the house more often with Danny Herman Trucking.

 

Let us know what the CDL school is pushing.

 

Not just Dollar General....

Avoid any job or account that would have you delivering to ANY of the so-called "dollar" stores: Dollar General, Family Dollar, Dollar Tree, etc.

For a new driver -- they are career killers.
