Unfortunately they do not have any trucks that have 500hp. That is why I'm asking.

How heavy are you hauling? I do general dry van load board freight (all kinds of weight, mostly 20-40k) and I am one of those guys with 12.7 Detroit 570/1950 and factory 10 speed 1650 transmission.
The other truck is n14 525/1850 and 1850 transmission. About 200k miles on each truck with that power.
Also 1700 clutch in each and no tranny oil coolers. Will see how long they last lol

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

I’m not up on technical details, but I will say that I drive a stock 2019 International LT with an X-15 Efficiency and a 10-speed Eaton manual transmission, and I often run right up close to 80k and it pulls just fine.

    AriGab Thanks this.

The company I was working for had LT625 with 450hp not sure about torque but I know going up long hills it literally was 35mph every time. Sometimes drop to 33 or 34. I could almost run faster lol. I got so tired of everyone sailing by me and holding them up.

Many isx engines set at 400ish hp have the torque turned up to 1750/1850 ft/lbs .. I had 485hp 1650ft/lbs and my buddy had 410 hp 1850ft/lbs . On small hills I walked away on hard pulls he went by me ..

Bean Jr. and AriGab Thank this.

The engine has ratings for different components. You might have injectors that can only run up to 450hp. It's the weakest link. That maxes the horsepower in just using a computer to turn it up.

Imho opinion it will be cheaper to get a used truck rather than finance thru lone mountain. But if you have Shakey credit, it might be the better way.

The freight market hasn't bottomed yet. Truck prices haven't bottomed yet.
