I can't help you with your question, but I can recommend that you download the free app "camscanner". It allows you to scan and save anything free in PDF format or even email it to someone. We use it to scan BOL's on the road. Works really well, actually. I recommend people scan everything in their wallet, front and back. That way if it's lost you have copies immediately if you need them.
hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Small lock box with copies in your truck. Where you need them.jamespmack Thanks this.

But aren't we still required to keep the original DOT medical certificate?
I know we have to turn a "copy" in to the company & we are responsible for ensuring the DMV gets a copy scanned......... But aren't we still supposed to retain & keep the original filed away home/someplace?
I keep my original in a file at home & I also keep a copy in the truck .... just incase "the DMV looses their wallet"..... I will have proof on hand that I indeed do have a valid med card on a roadside/scale. -
I guess if your state still issues cards.

Dude, my "original DOT medical" is simply an 8x11 sheet of paper printed at the doctors office. Nothing more. There is no stamp or embossing or anything identifying it as an original copy. So you can make 100 copies if you want and you wouldn't know which was the original.

Get a CAT S62. Waterproof, shock proof, a very rugged phone.
You might still lose it, but you would not crush it or drown it.jamespmack Thanks this. -
