Called them about the Perdue Account, to see if they'd hire out of my area. Seemed hopeful, gave me the number of the Dillon Terminal---but they require the trucks to be left at the terminal during hometime. Not there, yet, personally!

Out approx. 2 weeks, dedicated run hauling for Perdue farms. And, no, I foolishly forgot to ask about their payrate!:biggrin_2556:

If you get on with them, & they like your work, they WILL work with you on getting home. If you're the driver from Bama, they'll let you use the Dothan plant as your home terminal.

My home terminal was Monterrey,TN; I got there maybe 10 times in 2 yrs. I have no one at home, so I just stayed out 'til I wanted a couple of days off (VA,Eastern Shore,TN,AL). I just told John or Jerry(dispatch) a few days to a week ahead & they booked a load to wherever I wanted to take a break.

Nothing is written in stone with these people. If they give you a load, take it, pick-up on time & deliver on time. They have satellite, but they want you call all day. BS! I told them I'd call if I needed them & they let me alone.

I tried to solve things on my own 1st,& only if I couldn't, I called. No dispatcher wants any driver calling him with problems all day. I went weeks without talking to anybody at Bonus or Perdue.

Perdue acts the same way once they find they can trust you to do things on-time.
