I can only speak for Air Products, you get trained at your local terminal first before getting onto a team. Once you’re on a team then you work it out with your partner to how you want to drive. Seniority is used against other teams when it comes to vacation days.

I haven't run team for over 12 years but we agreed on 10 hour shifts.
I started out the week Sunday midnight and would run 3 nights to my partners 2 nights with the rotation.surf_avenue and viper822004 Thank this. -

Been a Linde team driver going on 2 years.
We swap at 6 AM and 6 PM, I'm the night driver. Probably guys here who can figure out who I am from that, lol.
It isn't bad. You just work out with your co-driver what hours you want to drive. I prefer nights because less traffic, cooler weather, and a lot of places are just easier to get into.
Team is less about it being easier to learn things they don't teach in training (though if you've got a senior co-driver willing to get up occasionally it definitely is) and more about making stupid money. My W2 last year was 141k and I only work 6 days on 2 off. It does take a toll on you, but it's better than OTR or working 14h days on local imho.
You will occasionally go to some pants on head stupid places that were never meant to house a sleeper, especially if you're an argon team. Linde likes to use teams as surge capacity when our regular runs aren't as needy.
I'm open to questions.scythe08, Dennixx and viper822004 Thank this. -

I talked with the Portland CO2 Boys today and they're going into contract negotiations monday and tuesday. I wished them the best and may go over to Portland Tuesday to show some support(and talk some smack)

Went to all hourly w OT after 10 and a 1st year raise to 40 per hour.
Should equate to a 12 to 25K annually increase depending on hours worked.
Some other small perks including 3 more pto days.scythe08 and viper822004 Thank this. -
Yep, first time into a cryo rear end, it makes you think....for week or so. Gate Valves, pressure this or not. Hydraulic or Electric, 40PSI or 250? Nitrogen or LOX...it's not about driving anymore, it becomes how are your gonna deliver.viper822004, scythe08 and Cali kid Thank this.
