    Glider for sure.
    I had a 2016 Cascadia with the DD16. After about 3-1/2 years it spent its fare share of time in the shop. The 2020 you’re looking at would probably soon be needing a One-Box.

    Shopping for another Freightshaker, you should be scared,,:eek:, just kidding, all trucks are pretty good today. FL is one of the best, but if me, I'd without question go the KWhopper route. The W900 has been the longest production truck, and I never had any luck with FL dealers, KW seemed marginally better. Thing with KW, you have a shred of resale, and are still, what I consider, the "Cadillac" of trucks. Shoot yourself.

    Not yet. But it'll happen before the dd15 happens.

    Example.
    My 2003 motorcycle had no problem getting parts when I bought it. Here we are 7 years later and parts are starting to be no longer available.

    The only reason im shopping for a freightliner is parts accessibility ,especially on the weekend.
    Where i live there is 4 freightliner dealers within a 100 miles radius and one of them closes at midnight on saturday,i work on my truck and try to fix what i can on the weekend when im home and in the past that proven to be hard owning a kw.

    The first option I would look at is how much would it take to get your current truck rebuilt back to how you want it. That’s provided that overall you’re happy with the truck. Get an estimate and figure out a budget. Not everything has to be done at once. You could pull it off the road for a while and do everything except interior and body work, then later on do the interior, and finally do all the paint and body work.

    Second option would be a used glider, especially if you have a good shop that you work with.

    There’s no way I’d look at a 4 year old emission truck unless you knew for sure what all has been done to it by the previous owner. If it’s one of the ones that’s already had a bunch of emission components replaced I’d think about it. But if it hasn’t then those will become your problems.

    Coronado Glider w/12.7 is the only Truck I’d buy period. I’m partial to them because I’ve only ran Classics for the past 23 years. For the most part they’re the same. Parts won’t be a problem. There’s a lot of them on the road. I’ve heard mixed reviews on Fitzgerald engine parts. Detroit Diesel has to call them for info on what parts were used. I would buy with future OH in mind. Plan on building it how you want, or swap in a reman. My boss has a fleet of 40. He has a few Volvos and KW’s. Says the Fitzgerald Coronado gliders have all been very good. He actually changes oil every 10k. His 1 mil milers still look great and get rebuilt. They run them hard, and average 7.3-7.4. Anything less they’re lookin for a problem. They’re reliable Trucks. Ride great. He has 4 brand new ones still with plastic on the seats. Been sitting a few years waiting till they’re needed. They’re solid Trucks. Built much better than the FLDs. Frame, engine bay, suspension about the same. Easy to work on. All that adds up IMO to less down time, and lower operating cost. I think they’re only going to get harder to find. Don’t make them anymore. When it’s time to sell, shouldn’t be hard, they’ll still be in high demand.

    Is the glider a Fitzgerald done engine or a Detroit one ?

    I’ve heard bad things about the ones Fitz did I in-house
