    It's always like this on the down part of a cycle. We're the ######## keeping you guys from making a living until we're not, lol.

    Nevermind that it hits us, too. 15% of 200 is inherently less than 15% of 400, after all.

    What's nuts is if you look at 2020 to 2021, there were 80k new carriers, and 8k new brokers. between 2020 and 2022, you went from 280k carriers to 380k carriers. According to their data, we're down to 364k carriers as of january, and 28k brokerages - meaning a loss of approximately 16k carriers and 3k brokerages. Still too many for the market, but that's reflective of what we're seeing.

    what’s interesting is, more and more “trucking” consultants are popping up on social media pushing people to open up an MC.

    how that will affect 2025 and beyond is what I’m pondering. Because the current 1-3 year guys are slowly closing up, and the new wave is gearing up.
