I made the mistake of buying a can of dip in one of the W or M states, I can't remember. The entire Northern Border with Canadia is communist. One can of dip, over 8 dollars. I was surrounded by four or five breweries of every booze that the world makes. It pissed my off my guilty pleasure of some tobacco paid for those drunk idiots running each other over.

 

I remember crossing the ambassador bridge into canada in 92 i think , bought a pack of 20 player lights , 7 dam dollars US . Marlboro at the time was like 1.25 and a book of matches if asked for .

 

Premium smokes up here are about $25 a pack...lots of untaxed smokes on the market but the fine is $200 per cigarette so when someone gets busted with a van load its big bucks! There are numerous "underground" cigarette manufacturers in Canada. Untaxed smokes can be had for about $20 per 200
Most folks smoke cheap ($6.00 a pack)off brand cigarettes that just smell funky...must be cured in pigeon coups IMO...I don't smoke,,,smokers are a dying breed these days

 

Was it a menthol shipment? Because California ain’t got none anymore.
