New Lennox, on the 80 West of Chicago. A small place right off the interstate.
After my stop at the Iowa 80 last nite, all I have to say is WOW!! That place is huge! Room for almost 900 trucks and anything you want as a trucker is there...I'm sure I didn't see the whole place. I did manage to find a nice gift for my wife and one for my 6 year old niece as well, so it was all good..... I have to say the service in the sit down restaurant left a little to be desired when I had dinner....although I went back for breakfast this morning and it was better.
I spent today running thru Iowa and into Nebraska, fighting heavy winds the whole way. I finally gave up after 425 miles and pulled into a Bosselman's for the night. I have to say I saw the hardest rain ever in Iowa, the sky turned black, there was lightning and I was watching for a funnel cloud....it was raining so hard, I couldn't see the road with my wipes on full. So, as luck would have it, there was a rest stop handy. I pulled in and rode it out for 15 or 20 minutes....

I hear ya on those winds seems like I spent all last week in them. I'm in Dalton waiting for my load going to Lakewood. The weather looks kind of iffy out west on 84 right now hopefully it will change before I roll through late Saturday. Saw Dick in SFS and got my safty review done. Rednek how you liking the local gig?

I was just in Dalton a few hours ago. Parked the truck for the first hometime I've taken since before Thanksgiving. Man, I hate driving my car after being in the truck for so long--it just feels like such a little toy.

Good luck Sal, lots of powder blue trucks running around my town. Also see a fair share of the 4 axle trailors they haul with a drop axle on the truck. Keep us posted and watch out for the spies.
