I know exactly what he's doing. He trashed his current MC number because he hauls cheap freight and runs trash equipment. You can disguise it any way you like. Saying you're buying a trucking company without equipment is because he wants a mc #

 

Good catch. We've tried to winnow out the obvious brokers and professional buyers/sellers. We can't catch all of them but we've slowed them down a little.

 

no thats not why, i'm leased on and want to get a head start on owning my own authority without taking garbage for the first 2 years

 

Brokers are aware of what you are trying to do, and can see the changes that were made to an mc#, and some may still hold that against you.
Unfortunately if you don't have connections, under current market conditions freight rates are really bad right now. I wish you the best of luck though.
