@nycflo718 Yes I’m positive! If I can find my paperwork from pre employment when I didn’t pee it took a few days it went to the clearing house I send you the picture

Ok. So you'll have to do SAP. I am gonna warn you, that it is not a foregone conclusion that you will find a company to hire you. Some companies hire SAP grads, but they are few and far between. Many companies are gonna stand under the 3 year umbrella. It's actually a regulation that a drug and alcohol event disqualifies you for a minimum 3 years. The majority of companies won't even touch you, even if you do SAP. I had failed a random in 2011, but the rules were different back then. I never had to do SAP. The Clearinghouse was nonexistent. Even without Clearinghouse, it took me 8 years to get back to where I could work for a reputable OTR company. If I knew then what I know now, it may not have taken as long. I had to do the 1099 route for a while. Hauled beverages locally in Nashville for a year. It was a long road for me, and will potentially be a long road for you and anyone else that makes the mistake/bad decision. Don't go to SAP if you're not ready to fully commit and quit cold turkey. That's what I did and it was rough but it's paid off.

If by chance a company is willing to hire you, don't come on here looking for approval, the scoop, or complaining about the reviews. If you're serious about driving, you take that offer and start a thread chronicling your journey at whichever company. While there, you keep your head down, run the miles, make money, rehab your career. We will help and support you i in anyway we can.

To anyone that has had this hiccup, you can do the SAP program, but the best advice I can give is to get all the way away from the drugs. Eliminate anyone in your life that uses, at least for a period of time if not permanently. That's the only you'll get disciplined enough to resist temptation.

If you ever want to have a driving job again you will need to go through the SAP to get that cleared off of your record.

You didn't ask me, but why pay for SAP, to work at a pretty bad company with low pay & poor conditions, etc. That's the future I think is waiting for anyone after they fail/refuse the drug screen.

My biggest question is WHY DOES NOBODY INVESTIGATE THIS ISSUE BEFORE THEY SMOKE/FAIL THE TEST????? 99% of the time they listen to drug buddies talking aboutbthe unfairness of it all and the non-lawyer "experts" with cheetoh dust on their shirt give some heated speech about... is there pizza in the fridge? We need to get some pizza. Hey Bobby, you want pizza?

Refusal to test and failing the test are treated as the same thing. If they weren't everyone that anticipates failing the test would refuse. Make better choices. Trucking isn't the only job that pays. Do something else.
